We are just stick to the commodity off-the-shelf (COTS) microprocessor. The only reason is cheap price. There is a reflection point for the cost efficiency if the total cost are considered besides chip. But the trend is more and more domains are using COTS processor.
We are from different point of views. I want to push up the reflection point with software only approach, you want to push down with hardware. We both are very tired finally... At least I am tired already. Can we just stop the war by using DOS and 8086? ;-)
