The death rate per 100,000 is 177.8 for all causes (age 25-44), including "all accident" which is 31.7 (17.3 from auto accidents)
A miner in china's death rate in any given year is 0.266*3000/1000000, or 79.8 per 100,000
This increases death rate caused by accident 3 fold (assuming China has similar death rate, which is not ture but might not be very far off). If death rate caused by auto accidents is excluded, miner will be almost 6-times more likely to die from other accidents than people of other professions.
However, US miners also have higher risk by working in the mine. The death rate is 0.188*2000/1000000, or 37.6 per 100,000, or 3 times higher than average (auto accident excluded)
