And the funny thing is that I believe Xiao could never get his tenure at NYU, then left for China. Anyone will be ashamed to be called a part time clinical associate professor in normal circumstance. But now Xiao fight to be in such a position. The dean must be happy to provide such a letter to show NYU is without class. Xiao could get into NYU due to a RO1 grant, normally, it cost NYU nothing but getting money. So it is not such a big deal to become an asistant professor there under such pretense. But his research, or ability to to research become apparent after he move to NYU. No chance to promote. Anyone will feel sorry for such an appointment. but he is fighting for it. What a irony.

Another funny thing is that Xiao's ethic is doubtable. using human subject for unapproven clinical procedure, Highly inflated fame, dirty mouthing, etc.

Also, his feud with Fang did not begin from the Science accusation. It started much earlier, because Fang riduled his self boast on XYS. Then he got angry and falsely report to Science. Anyone follows the XYS long enough know the truth. He just want to find a motive for Fang's dajia. What a twist of truth. I cannot help about agree with professor Rao Yi's assessment.

Fang should continue his fight against such dishonesty, and use real law suit to wake up people how corrupted the academic system of our motherland. What a shame. I wish President Hu and Premier Wen could do something about this, just like fighting against economical corruption.
