Not really understanding it. Please correct me if I am wrong. The cycle of tree growing would be longer than 10 years. 1/5 a year and how many years we need to make Amazon dissappear?
But any dispute of number aside, the speed of cutting is still astonishing. In particular, climate change is global. Maybe Bazilian are not the one most vulnerable. They are more or less derserve what they get if that's their decision. But people in Sub-Sahara desert don't deserve the deteriorating climate environment.
Let's mourn for it...
