With unlimited info access and good English, why so many overseas mainlanders still "love" china or ccp?

Use myself as example, I have mixed feelings. Most time in private I talk about china in bad terms, I don,t like almost anything there. I don,t want visit china. Usually it,s my mainlander family visit me, they are all richer than me. Some of them say wanting immigration, yet I doubt they will like living in America.

Yet online I tend to defend china or ccp.

I was on the streets in 89. Now I have 2nd thoughts.

The 40+ years since 1978 are the best ever in china,s often tragic history. I know many would say we could and should do better. But I say, we also could do worse.

In78 china and India basically were at the same level. And look at most nations outside of OECD, I doubt many Chinese now want immigrate there. Yet in my college days, I remember the best looking girls crowded around African students.

Again many would say why not aiming for higher like Japan or America? Yet I say on what basis Chinese look down on India?

Indians in America are doing way more better than Chinese in every aspect. Chinese are neither superior or worse than most nations. I say, let us apreciate what china got so far. Stability helps. Economy or money 1st mentality helps. Again many of you point to all those negative sides, yet I say why Chinese couldn,t do worse! Just look around. What kind of ego or Chinese super mentality give you the contempt for most nations in this globe. Why china should do better than them.

I say treasure what you got, it is not a given. It is 40 years of hard working from all slides of china. It is not easy, we should not take it for granted.
