4. dissertation research credits (24 ~ 36 credits)

全时(full-time)花时4～6年或更长，在职(part-time)花时6～8年或更长，保证了受到充分的训练。在职与全时除了攻读时间长短有点差别，其它报考录取，修课，考qualify, 做论文，答辩等环节没有任何差别，一样是50%的淘汰率。
比较之下，日本的论文博士，德国的医学博士，欧州的邓乒乓博士都是水货。
