People everywhere need to be aware of the danger of taking a scientific statement without evaluating its economic value becasue this will produce ideologies which is very bad.
Industrialisation contributes to global warming that is true. The issue is people need to make a choice decision: should countries invest limited resources now to prevent large damage in the future? Or should countries invest these resources on economic development which generates more resources overtime, and by the time large damage is done people will have enough resources to control and to eliminate such damage? To developing countries, the opportunity cost of diverting valuable financial resources into long term exvironmental protection projects is enormous.
It's time for economists to take over the debate from scientists and politicians.
