If you ask me, I'll say: Cooks theorem, Shor's algorithm should be considered as scientific breakthrough. Relational database and object oriented language, TCP/IP should be counted as the same class as engineering advances. Of course, the works done in parallel computing is also very important, but it is hard to say there is a definite moments like the others.
