The issue is not the word "integrity" but the phrase "integrity of science"
"Integrity of science" means doing science in an honest, moral consistent manner. Not using misleading data, or misrepresenting information, or using partial facts.
So, "integrity of science" means #1

didn;t agree. They THINK that the word "Integrity" you used here
actually means "soundness", not "honesty or #1 from the list below".
(Funny that they thin they themselves know English better than native
