Since the early 1990’s, foreign companies have been outsourcing their manufacturing/productions in China. It would have been a no-brainer for US medical industries to clue in to China’s huge population, cheap labour, and most importantly – very loosely regulated hospitals. Therefore, it is logical to guess that the human experiments in Chinese hospitals most likely were financed by foreign entities.

They may argue that there is nothing wrong in principle. Yes, as long as they put everything under the sun, and do not deceive or abuse the rights of Chinese patients.

It makes one wonder… are there any, ongoing collaborations between foreign medical institutions and Chinese hospitals, as we speak now?

Surely, some 海归 professionals are aware of these, we may have to wait for a few courageous ones to break rank with their sponsors and come out to tell all.

Another way to expose the wrong doings is for some foreign investigator reporters to follow the trails in the States and uncover the ‘mystery’. (Perhaps it is still too small of a case to come under Susan Reverby’s radar.)
