The Final Song for Love
(Poem by The Twin-Boat Sailor; translated by Zhencha)
Grasses' fragrance is no more, yet evil birds' chirping rife,
We're hard to meet again and talk about our drifting life.
Together, we gazed on the waning moon with endless thought;
Alone, I'm fighting the wolf packs ceaselessly as I ought.
Don't be sad, my dear,
Please do stretch your ear!
I would sing high, with the feelings untold in my chest.
To repay the kindness of you afar who know me best,
I would have all my dreams and love to you expressed.
